Nevertheless, van der Poel isn’t the sole contender from his team poised for success. Jasper Philipsen, who claimed victories at Milan–San Remo and Classic Brugge De Panne in March, skipped the Tour of Flanders but is set to return for Paris-Roubaix. Nevertheless, his burning desire to clinch his first Monument remains unabated. Despite the setbacks in his team, Pedersen can still rely on the support of valuable riders like Jonathan Milan and Edward Theuns.
Nils Politt (+2500)
Nils Politt is no stranger to the sensation of nearly clinching victory at Paris-Roubaix, having found himself in a tense sprint with Philippe Gilbert in 2019, only to fall short at the finish line. While the UAE Team Emirates rider hasn’t frequently hovered near the pinnacle of Monument results since then, his third-place finish at the Tour of Flanders on Sunday suggests a resurgence that could inject fresh motivation into his campaign.
