  • When: Sunday, June 9th, 2024

The Big Picture

There’s plenty of controversy and talk surrounding Kyle Larson’s waiver for missing the Coca-Cola 600, but that ultimately isn’t to have any bearing on this weekend’s action. Larson can’t seem to be kept out of the news lately. But with this weekend’s race taking place on the Sonoma road circuit, for once, Larson isn’t regarded as the man to beat.

Leading the betting is Martin Truex Jr. of JGR. In his current form, you may rightly ask how he can be the favorite? And the answer is that Truex Jr. has won here four times, including three times in his last five NASCAR races at this circuit, including the 2023 edition.

The Sonoma road track has 12 turns, and its elevation range is 160 feet from the highest to lowest points. It’s a different race track from the more traditional NASCAR oval circuits and one purely for road specialists.

Betting to win the 2024 Toyota Save Mart 350

Martin Truex Jr is the +525 betting favorite to win the 2024 Toyota Save Mart 350. The 2023 race winner is followed by the trio of Kyle Larson, William Byron, and Christopher Bell on +750, with Ty Gibbs next at +800.

Also in the mix to win is Chase Elliott at +850 and Tyler Reddick at +900. AJ Allmendinger is at +1200, with Chris Buescher and Michael McDowell at +1400.

Last year’s runner-up, Kyle Busch is +2500, and third-place Joey Logano is +4000. Daniel Suarez won here in 2022 on the same 1.99-mile circuit. To repeat his win, Suarez is +2200.

Betting to win the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series

Before we name our betting picks to win at the Sonoma road circuit, let’s first look at the latest betting to win the 2024 Cup Series.

William Byron was the favorite for a large part of the season. That was until Kyle Larson went on an impressive run and replaced his teammate at the top of the betting.

But after a 10th-place finish at Gateway and a no-show at the Coca-Cola 600, Larson is no longer the favorite. The new bookmaker favorite to win the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series is Denny Hamlin at +400.

Hamlin finished 5th at Charlotte and followed that up with a 2nd place finish at Gateway last Sunday. The two races have seen Hamlin replace Larson at the top of the points table. Hamlin now sits on 534 points, 21 ahead of Larson, who has 513.

Don’t worry Larson fans, your man is still in the hunt. The oddsmakers have him second favorite at +450, with William Byron also close by at +500.

Outside of the leading three, Christopher Bell is +750, with Martin Truex Jr. and Chase Elliott both on +1000.

2024 Toyota Save Mart 350 Betting Picks and Predictions

Onto our betting picks, and yet again with NASCAR, it is a very open market.

Top Three Finish betting picks

We think that backing Martin Truex Jr. at +525 on current form is a touch risky. Truex Jr. is +170 to finish in the top 3, and we like the look of that bet a lot more. Martin Truex Jr. to finish in the top 3 is our first betting pick.

Race Winner betting picks

To win the race, we are looking at some long shots this weekend, and the first driver on our list is Tyler Reddick at +900. Reddick has a great record on street circuits, with an average finish of 9.5 over his last 14 races.

Reddick is also in good form, as his two 4th place finishes at Gateway and Charlotte can testify. And even though they were not road tracks, it shows he is performing well at the moment.

Tyler Reddick to win the Toyota Save Mart 350 is our second betting pick.

We also like the chances of Chase Elliott this weekend. The 2020 Cup Series champion has quietly been creeping up the points table and is now in third place, just behind Larson and Hamlin.

Elliott is in good form. And he also has a great track record on road circuits. In 2023, he finished fifth here and is also a 7-time road track winner.

At +850, we make Chase Elliott our final pick to win the 2024 Toyota Save Mart 350.
