Week 12 didn’t go as planned for Montreal and British Columbia. For the Lions, their second-straight defeat came at the hands of a terrible Tiger-Cats team. Meanwhile the Alouettes’ four-game win streak ended with a humbling 30-point loss to the Blue Bombers.

Montreal makes it close
Montreal is a 3.5-point home underdog to British Columbia in Week 13. While their 6-4 record is good enough for second place in the Eastern Conference, the Alouettes are a combined 0-4 versus the Argonauts, Blue Bombers and Lions, who they fell to 35-19 back in Week 5. However, BC has lost two-in-a-row. Their six-game home winning streak came to a shocking end last Saturday with a loss to Hamilton.
The Leos are only 3-3 on the road this season and the Alouettes played the 9-2 Bombers tough for a half last Thursday. We’ll take Montreal to cover the 3.5 points in Molson Memorial Stadium.
Another interception for Marc-Antoine Dequoy and another PICK-6 for the Alouettes! 😮

Bombers blast the Riders
Winnipeg is a 7.5-point road favorite on Sunday. The Bombers blew out their Western Conference rivals 45-27 in Week 3, and with a 9-2 record, look headed towards home-field advantage and a first-round bye. Mike O’Shea’s squad has scored a combined 97 points in their past two games against BC and Montreal. They also have seven-straight wins over the Roughriders.
Saskatchewan upset the Lions 34-29 in Week 11 before taking their bye. While they have a 3-2 record at home, they don’t have the firepower to keep up with Zach Collaros’ high-powered offense. Big Blue covers the -7.5 at Taylor Field.
Argos torpedo Tiger-Cats
Toronto is 8.5-point chalk against the Tiger-Cats on Monday. The Argonauts beat the Hamilton 28-8 in last year’s annual Labor Day Classic game, ending the Ti-Cats’ seven-game win streak on the Canadian holiday. They are also 2-0 versus their rivals this year. Chad Kelly rushed for three scores in a 32-14 Week 2 victory, before racking up 306 passing yards and three total touchdowns in a 31-15 win in Week 7.
At 4-6, Hamilton is somehow in the postseason at this moment, but they’re only 1-4 at Tim Horton’s Field. After shocking BC, expect the Tiger-Cats to come crashing down to earth against the CFL’s top team.

Elks vs Redblacks
Edmonton is a 5.5-point road dog to Calgary in the other Labor Day Classic. The team finally ended their 23-game home losing streak with a 30-20 win over Ottawa. That victory came one week after they snapped a 13-game losing skid that dated all the way back to last September with a 24-10 triumph in Hamilton.
The Elks have lost nine of the last ten Labor Day Classics to the Stampeders, who also came away with a 29-24 home victory against their rivals in Week 1. While Calgary played Toronto and Winnipeg tough the past two weeks, momentum is on the side of their opponents. Take Edmonton to cover +5.5 at McMahon Stadium.
