PGA Championship Betting Picks – Weather Not So Bad
So, this week’s PGA Championship Betting Picks from Pittsford is on the more difficult East Course. For those wondering where Pittsford is in New York, it is just outside of Rochester. Lake Ontario is not too far away so do watch out for the wind direction occasionally. Winds are not expected to be overly gusty this week. Expect a few cooler mornings on Thursday and Sunday. Temperatures will rebound.
Friday will be a warm and slightly breezy day where temperatures could approach 80. Greens figure to dry out and the stimpmeter will rise. Expect a few more missed putts but longer drives on the Par-70 that plays out to 7.394 yards. The only inclement weather day appears to be Saturday with some occasional showers. Even then, temperatures should stay around 70 degrees.
Looks like Rochester weather will be kind for much of the @PGAChampionship this week! Only real hiccups will be some wind Friday and showers Saturday. Follow the forecast all week on @13WHAM #rochesterny

Considering what The Masters became with weather, the PGA Championship will be almost balmy in comparison. There will be no worries of cold-air wedges and raw Easterly winds. It expects to be about the course and not “Mother Nature” in New York for this weekend.
PGA Championship Favorites Spotlight
When it comes to the PGA Championship Betting Picks, Scottie Scheffler jumps off the page again. Despite a blip last weekend, Scheffler was right in contention for the most part again. He even led after the first round (+2000 on MyBookie). The golfer again is a slight favorite (+700 to +750). That may seem crazy but Scheffler’s consistency figures to be a big asset on the East Course. Still, the top 10 number is almost even for Scheffler on some books (Even to -120 range).
As much as Scheffler could win, there may be other more lucrative options for the third weekend in May. Jon Rahm and Rory McIlroy get a good deal of buzz here. There are valid reasons for that type of attention. The Spaniard and the Northern Irishman know they can win this type of tournament. Rory did win at Kiawah Island in 2012 on one of the toughest courses in PGA Championship history.
Out of the top three favorites, McIlroy probably has the best chance to win the tournament. Among the favorites spotlight, this should be fun for wagering.
Phil Mickelson A Not So Crazy Long Shot?
So, here is where we go off the rails. Why? That is easy. Phil Mickelson is a not so crazy long shot. Hey, “Lefty” won his second PGA Championship in 2021 and the golfer comes in with some solid form. He lit up The Masters on a Sunday of all times. The 52-year-old shot a final round 65 to finish tied for second.
After all, the golfer can still hit long enough to compete on the almost 7,400 yard golf course. Now, the LIV golfer enjoyed success on the PGA Senior Tour before jumping ship. Mickelson comes in refreshed and ready to go. The weather figures to not bother Mickelson’s joints too much.
Heading into Pittsford err Oak Hill, the golfer feels relatively comfortable. He has a little history on his side too. Mickelson was as much as a +25000 chance of winning two years ago.

Again for Mickelson, a win is not completely unrealistic. Thankfully, there are other options too as the left-handed golfer has +1400 odds to finish in the top ten. At +140 to finish in the top 40, Mickelson carries value even that low down the leaderboard. Look and shop around for options in the PGA Championship Betting Picks.
Some Other PGA Championship Betting Picks
After what happened the last few weeks, online golf betting sites allow us to take a quick look at some other PGA Championship Betting Picks. Brooks Koepka is another solid choice who has won two titles and nearly a third in 2021. What surprises most experts is that Koepka rolls in at +2200. The LIV golf player, like Mickelson, should not have much of an issue acclimating to the Oak Hill course.
Some notables like Tony Finau (+2200) and defending champion Justin Thomas (+2800) should be on the radars for the weekend. While Thomas and Finau may start slower, the thought process is they may warm up on the weekend and make things interesting. If that winning option is a little tough to stomach, top-10 numbers are +220 and +250 respectively.
Justin Thomas says he can't take much from last year's victory into this year's PGA Championship, but he got a major boost from a round two weeks ago. https://t.co/0isompnBlM

Looking toward even last week’s results is not a smart thing this time around. Golfers often find solace at the strangest of times. Thomas may have finally found something in a time of many challenges.
Are there any fun options for the PGA Championship?
Yes, let’s take a couple fliers err darts for the PGA Championship Betting Picks. Now, simply two of our fun options are Sahith Theegala and Jason Day. Day won last week at the Byron Nelson while Theegala gradually is showing a game that could contend at a major championship.
