MotoGP is back. The 2023 MotoGP season took off the month of July, but the racers are back in action on Sunday for the 2023 edition of the Monster Energy British Grand Prix. The Silverstone Circuit is one the fastest and most exciting tracks on the MotoGP schedule. MotoGP riders have been competing on the track since 1977. Last year, Francesco Bagnaia picked up the win on the course. It was the first victory for the Ducati rider on the course. Bagnaia went on to win the MotoGP championship in 2022 with 265 points. Bagnaia looks to join the lengthy list of multiple-time winners of the British Grand Prix in 2023. The man with the most wins in this race is the retired Valentino Rossi. Rossi won the British GP a record eight times during his legendary career. Three other riders have won the race six times.

The winner of the 2023 French GP, Marco Bezzecchi, started 2023 as the second-best MotoGP competitor. However, the 24-year-old has slipped to third in the points standings following an eighth-place finish in Italy and a fourth in Germany. He picked up some ground at the Dutch TT with a second-place finish. On Sunday, the Mooney VR46 Racing rider looks to gain more ground with a strong British GP performance. Bezzecchi participated in this race last year, but he could have had a better performance, finishing in 10th.
Bezzecchi has one retirement in 2023 and two wins. His worst finish outside of his one retirement was his eighth place in Italy.
