NHL Odds: Rangers at Devils Game 3 Picks

The New Jersey Devils had patience in game two and managed to level the series to one game
a side on Wednesday with a 3-2 victory, now they will try to defend their home ice when they
host the Rangers this Saturday, at Prudential Center at 1 PM ET for game three of the Eastern
conference finals.

NHL Odds: Rangers at Devils Game 3 PicksIn the first two games of the series, the Rangers played defense, well, exactly the way the
Devils play it; blocking shots all over the ice and waiting for a counter-attack. New Jersey
quickly understood New York’s strategy and started deflecting their own shots.

“It’s a very hard building to play in, and 1-1 sounds much better than down 2-0,” Devils captain
Zach Parise said. “We’re happy. We would have liked to have snuck out of here with two wins,
but it didn’t happen. We’ll take 1-1.”

This is the third straight series this postseason where the Rangers failed to win game two at
home; in the previews two they advanced in seven games. The Devils, on the other hand, stole
game two of the series against the Flyers and never looked back, winning four straight and
advancing to the Eastern conference finals.

Martin Brodeur stopped 23 saves for his 108th playoff win, and the Prudential Center will take
a New Jersey team that have surrounded only one game at home in the entire postseason.

“That team blocks so many shots,” Devil’s David Clarkson who scored a tip-in goal off Adam
Henrique’s shot 2:31 into the third period said. “It’s unbelievable how many. I think we found a
way to shoot it and get sticks on it, and definitely that was big for us.”

Momentum is on the Devils’ side, especially if you consider this team is use to winning big
games; take New Jersey in week three.
