wild_blackhawksAfter a stunning upset in game seven over the Avalanche in Colorado, the Minnesota Wild is set to meet the current NHL Champions, the Chicago Blackhawks, this Friday at the United Center at 9:30 PM, in game one of the series.

The Wild was down by a score in the third period against the Avalanche and the season seemed over, but they fought back, tied the game and won it in overtime.

“It was crazy. Back and forth. Every time there was a goal scored, I was thinking we were playing that team or the other team, right down to the very end,” Blackhawks Patrick Sharp said.

Last season the Wild lost their series against the Blackhawks in five games, but this time things could be different.

“It is definitely a different team,” Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said. “You got to commend them on how they played at the end of the year to get themselves in the playoffs. Had a great run and had a lot of momentum going into that series, and they played a great series.”

The puck line has the Chicago Blackhawks as the favorites for game one listed -1.5, and the game total is at 5.Β  The money line for this one has Chicago at -204 and Minnesota at +185.

The Wild is 1-5 SU in its last 6 games when playing on the road against the Blackhawks, and the total has gone OVER in 6 of Minnesota’s last 8 games when playing on the road against Chicago.
