The second half of the 2014 NHL season is about to start and after the Winter Olympic Games break and a few days for recovering, teams will be back with an ‘all business’ approach because the playoffs are coming and the Stanley Cup is the prize.
The Pittsburgh Penguins are the ultimate favorites to win the East; they are the leaders with 83 points and a staggering 23-4-1 home record. It will be a difficult task to beat them at the CONSOL Energy Center.
In the West things are not that clear; Anaheim leads the way with 87 points, but there are three teams with 84, the St. Louis Blues, the San Jose Sharks, and the current champions Chicago Blackhawks.
