Stanley Cup Finals – Blackhawks at Bruins Game 6

The Chicago Blackhawks have all the momentum going their way, and they could close the deal this Monday at the TD Garden at 8:00 PM ET, in game 6 of the Stanley Cup finals.

bruins vs blackhawksThe series is 3-2 Chicago. They beat the Bruins 3-1 in game 5 and took a lead in the series for the second time since game 1.

“This is what you work for all year, all summer, when you’re training throughout the year, at training camp, whatever it may be,” Patrick Kane said. “This is what you work for, this opportunity. We’ve got to seize the moment and take advantage of it.”

Chicago wants to seal the deal on Monday. “We’re hopeful he’ll be ready next game,” said coach Joel Quenneville.

“We understand the situation and what’s at stake, but our mindset is going in there and trying to have the best game possible,” Blackhawks defenseman Duncan Keith said. “It’s no different from tonight’s game.”

The Blackhawks are listed +110 in the moneyline to win game six, and the Bruins, who lost the momentum in game 4, are listed -130.

“It’s do or die. We’ve been there before, and we’ve done well in that situation. Getting evaluated right now,” coach Claude Julien said. “Not much I can say.”

The Bruins had been in an elimination game before this postseason when they had to go seven games to beat the Toronto Maple Leafs. Take Boston in game 6; this series has game 7 written all over.
