This attitude drives the Las Vegas Aces. Checking this out is a good idea as the story paints out how the Aces and their process works. Clearly, they are that little bit ahead of other teams in the WNBA. Some of the faces may change but again that mantra remains the same.
Las Vegas remains poised and Bovada tosses in here at +115. This may feel crazy, but that could prove to be a good number given how things went last season. The Aces started out around +150 to +175 during the preseason and then dove down by the Summer. Most were too late on the number and the favorites remain a favorite for a reason.

So, inevitably, what about the New York Liberty? Last year was a breakout season for New York from a regular season and playoff standpoint. They were so close to winning a title. When it comes down to projections, New York is expected to top the Eastern Conference again. They may face stiffer competition than last year. However, the Liberty are the class of the East. This team, led by Ionescu is even more hungry than 2023. Their team win total rolls in at 30.5. That Over at -115 looks more and more attractive by the day. Do not be surprised if New York equals or even exceeds their wins from last season.
The key for New York remains Ionescu, who is at a modest +2000 when it comes to league MVP. That is more or less a longer shot. However, it becomes harder to discount all the intangibles the Guard can do it all. She plays the 1, 2, and even 3 slots very well. Ionescu can shoot almost 45% from three-point range. While she may not average 20-25 points a game, or be that triple double force, Ionescu fills stat categories across the board. She leads by example.

Again, rule changes like these could be something to watch out for. New York has been one of the original teams in the WNBA and the Liberty has never won a title. If there was a year to break that drought, this might just be the one.
Hey, What About Longer Shots?
Okay, 2024 WNBA Future Bets want to know what about longer shots? For this season, there could be a few teams that surprise. Obviously, the Indiana Fever and Caitlin Clark are going to be at the top of many lists.
