Liberty vs Sky Bets – Some Early Observations

Naturally,, the Liberty vs Sky Bets seek to look at some early observations. That is no joke for basketball fans. WNBA betting takes on a life of its own sometimes. Sure, scheduling plays a big role in things. Look at what happened on Sunday, there were two predicted easy games for New York and Phoenix. They played unrested teams in the Indiana Fever and Los Angeles Sparks. Sure enough, both New York and Phoenix easily covered the spread. New York routed Indiana by a whopping 36 points!

Even worse, Caitlin Clark got held down to a career-low three points in the 104-68 rout. It was great for the Liberty and their bettors. The Over still amazingly connected in this contest. Some ask what could be the fallout from one of the incidents that happened on Saturday. Again, the Sky played a hard, physical game. The difference is a team like the New York Liberty will play right through that.

The Sky have more considerable issues than just losing to Indiana. They are 3-4 out of the gate and could easily fall to 3-5 versus a tough New York team. As for the Liberty, they know wins count. Connecticut has come out in 2024 hotter than the sun with an 8-0 mark. Eventually, the Sun will cook off but New York needs to keep winning games that are winnable. Even now, the Moneyline on the spread has approached -300. That surprised some given this is a road game for the Liberty.

New York at -6.5 (-110) remains the best bet. With the moneyline staying around -270, that feels considerably dangerous. Waiting on some of the game props may be a wise move here. There is some talk the moneyline may fan out further too. So, let us take a look at what and why we live bet the last matchup the way we did.

Liberty vs Sky Bets – Time To Look At The Props

Okay, the Liberty vs Sky bets wonder if it is time to look at the props.. With the schedule simmering down some, we get an advanced look at numbers we would not see until later on Tuesday in normal circumstances. Sometimes, we must take the gifts as they are presented. Now, as New York has stabilized, they are outscoring opponents by nearly ten points per contest (9.7 currently). Also, the Liberty are third in scoring at 86.1 points per game. Chicago is averaging merely 79.3 points a contest.

Now, the conference records start to paint a bit of a picture too. New York has played a couple of more games than Chicago and have gotten into a rhythm. They are 5-1 in the Eastern Conference while Chicago is 1-2. New York lost to this same Chicago team earlier in the season while allowing 90 points. New York wants revenge and many expect them to get it on Tuesday.

There are no truer words that can be said. Like we mentioned, New York looks forward to this game on Tuesday as a chance to gain some revenge. Chicago wants to get to .500. The Over at 162.5 seems low given the two teams will want to push the ball up the court. Also, the prevailing thought is Sabrina Ionescu will not shoot 8-for-20 again. She only totaled 19 points in the last meeting. She will want to do better.

Again, some will attempt to live bet this and we may as well. However, Ionesco’s point prop is going to be around 19.5. The thought process is to take that Over if it is there on Tuesday night

Hey, What Other Props Are Out There?

So, Liberty vs Sky bets ask what other props are out there? 2024 started out fun but our focus here will be the game and total props in this tilt. One of these is a true guessing game but the largest lead is something to consider. One of our admonitions is this. Placing a couple dollar bet here is prudent. Again, if one wants to sprinkle a few dollars on certain numbers, that is fine as well. The idea would be to spend no more than $5-$10 here.

Why? That offers an even simpler answer. Early in the season, teams are getting their legs. The schedule has a lull this week mainly because of the NBA Finals which start on Thursday. Some teams will be coming off considerable rests. Fortunately, we get two that are not here. The thought process is that New York will eventually get somewhere into the double digits with a lead.

Again, there is that 10 and 11 points at +1300 or 12 at +1100. Those seem to be in the sweet spot. The biggest comeback at 5+ is an easy to digest -130. That might be fun to consider too.

Finally, keep an eye out for more props.
