BCS Championship Game Odds – Auburn vs Florida State

The Florida State Seminoles dreamed season could end in perfection if they manage to beat the Auburn Tigers, this Monday at the Rose Bowl at 8:30, in the 2014 BCS Championship game.

fsu-seminolesFlorida State is 13-0, but most people are getting critical about the fact that they didn’t have a decent opposition in their regular season run.  The Seminoles lead College Football in points scored with 53.0 points per game.

“We’re excited about playing Auburn. … they’re dynamic, they make plays on offense, defense, special teams,” said Florida State head coach Jim Fisher. “(They have) won games a lot of different ways and (are) very well coached, and it will be a great opportunity and a great challenge for our team.”

Auburn is 12-1, and of course their signature win was against all-time rival, Alabama in the Iron Bowl. “We feel we’re the best team in college football,” Tigers running back and Heisman finalist Tre Mason said. “We’ve got to continue to prove it.”

“I’m trying my best to enjoy the moment, but the bottom line is we’ve got a job to do, and as a coach your responsibility is to have your team prepared as possible and to stay in that routine, and in this setting this week, obviously that’s a challenge,” Auburn coach Gus Malzahn told reporters. “But our team and our coaches have done that all year, and I feel so far up to this point as a group we’ve done that.”

Florida State is 10.5 point favorite in the BCS Championship odds.  Consider there have been three BCS Championship matchups between an undefeated team and a one-loss team, in all 3 meetings, the one-loss team won the game.
