College Football Game of the Week – Notre Dame vs Oklahoma Odds

The unbeaten Notre Dame Irish travels to Oklahoma to take on the Sooners, this Saturday at 8 PM ET at Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, in our college football game of the week.

Notre Dame deserves credit staying undefeated, but most people don’t think they are the fifth best team in the nation as most ranking have them; a win against the Sooners as visitors would shut down the critics.

“If you’re 7-0 and five in the country and you think you’ve arrived, then that’s where as a coach and a team you’re in peril,” coach Brian Kelly said.

“I think controlling the football for us and playing great defense in the second half has been our formula for winning and we are not going to go away from that,” Kelly said. “It goes to the toughness of our football team,” he added. “They believe they are going to win”.

Notre Dame also thinks being like the Sooners as a program is the ultimate goal; the Sooners are 79-4 since Bob Stops arrived as a head coach.

“That’s where we want to be. I mean, we want that consistency. Year in and year out you know Oklahoma is going to be part of the conversation,” Kelly said. “And that’s where we want to get our football program. We’re nowhere near that yet. We think we’re moving in the right direction. We’re trending the right way”.

Oklahoma averages 44.7 points per game, while the Irish scores 25.9 every Saturday; if the Irish what to leave with a win, they need a low scoring game.

The lines have the Sooners as a 10 point favorite, and they are 23-2 SU in its last 25 games at home.
