The Crimson Tide have established themselves as the team to beat in the Conference. But Tennessee is making them work for the title, meaning Alabama cannot afford any slips against Florida.
The Gators (No.24) haven’t made it to the Round of 32 of March Madness since 2021. The last time they got to the Sweet Sixteen was in 2017.
Florida is +3300 to make the Final Four this year. Alabama is +400, highlighting the difference in quality between the two teams.

Second in the betting is the Purdue Boilermakers, who are now out to +800, having been +900 this time last week. The Boilermakers saw their odds drift after their shock 73-69 defeat at Ohio State.
Behind the Boilermakers in the betting is Houston at +900, with Arizona and Tennessee next at +1200 and North Carolina at +1800. Also representing the Southeastern Conference in the betting are Alabama and Auburn, both at +2000.

Unsurprisingly, the best college basketball betting sites favor a win for the home-court college. Alabama is -400 on the money line with Bovada. The Gators are +320.
Onto the handicap spread, and the Gators are receiving an 8.5-point advantage. To win with the spread, Florida is -110. To win and cover the spread, the Crimson Tide are -110.

Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Florida Gators: Latest Form
The Crimson Tide has a home-court record of 12-1 in the 2023/24 season. They are 4-3 on the road, with an overall record of 18-7. In the Southeastern, they are 10-2.
Alabama is on a winning streak of two. The two wins came at home against Texas A&M (100-75) last weekend and on the road at LSU (109-92). Before the two wins, the Crimson Tide were well beaten by the Auburn Tigers (99-81) at the Auburn Arena.
The Florida Gators have an overall record of 18-7 in the 2023/24 season, the same as the Crimson Tide. At home, Florida is 11-1. And on the road, they are 3-4. It’s in the SEC where the difference in their respective records stands out. Florida has a Conference record of 8-4 (Alabama is 10-2).
The Gators are on a winning streak of three. Last weekend, they won on the road at Georgia (88-82).

Before that, they had two home-court wins. A not-so-impressive 82-80 victory over LSU. And an impressive 81-65 victory over Auburn.
Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Florida Gators Betting Picks
So, Alabama is on a winning streak of two, and Florida is on a streak of three. One team’s streak has to end!
First up, we believe Alabama wins the game. They will use their home-court advantage to make it three wins in a row. The Crimson Tide will also know that Tennessee won again last night. So they need to keep the wins coming at this crucial point of the season.
Will they cover the spread is the question. Well, in three of their last six, Alabama has hit the 100+ points mark. There is a 99-point performance in there as well.
We don’t doubt the Crimson Tide’s offensive work. They have scored the second most points per game than any other college in the NCAA this season. The problem is that they sacrifice defense for offense. And the Gators are a team that can keep the scoreboard ticking over.
Against LSU in recent weeks, Alabama has conceded 92 and 88. But against MS State and the Aggies, it was a more respectable 67 and 75 points conceded.
Ultimately, we feel there are more reasons to back Alabama to cover than not. Alabama to win and cover is the betting pick.
