College Basketball Betting: Purdue vs Indiana

Indiana remained as the number one team in the nation despite losing a little over a week ago; their next challenge is the visit of the Purdue Boilermakers on Saturday at 2 PM ET.

College Basketball Betting: Purdue vs IndianaIndiana has won two games in a row since the loss against Illinois, the last one against Nebraska in a 29 point differential beating. “We’re not trying to set records, we’re trying to win a national championship,” coach Tom Crean said. “But at the end of the day, if you want to win big, you have to play a lot of different ways, and our guys did that and they stayed true to the game plan.”

“I think that’s just the growth of older guys having a better understanding,” Crean said when asked about the Hoosiers’ patience. “We have 27 at the half, but yet we end up with 76 and win by 29. That’s really good.”

Purdue suits them just perfectly as the Boilermakers have lost four of the last five games, including a 37 point loss against Indiana on January 30th.

“Facts are facts,” Purdue coach Matt Painter said back then. “They played harder than us, and they played better than us. At the end, those guys were out there celebrating, and that’s what it’s all about. … They’re a good team, and we’re not. We play like individuals.”

Indiana has won three games in a row in the series since they lost to Purdue on 2011; all of those wins came also covering the spread.
