The Texas Tech Red Raiders and the Oklahoma State Cowboys will look for the third win in the season this Thursday at 7:30 PM ET at the Boone Pickens Stadium, in a Big 12 matchup with coverages by ESPN.
Both squads are 2-1 in the season, and this will be the Big 12 opener for the Red Raiders and the Cowboys.
Texas Tech lost 49-28 to the Arkansas Razorbacks two weeks ago; they beat Cent Arkansas and UTEP and both wins were close. The Red Raiders are 0-3 against the spread this season, 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games on the road, 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games when playing Oklahoma State, and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games when playing on the road against the Cowboys.
Oklahoma State is 2-1 against the spread, and they recently won and covered against UTSA in the 43-13 beating. The Cowboys are pretty exciting about QB Daxx Garman, who has completed 32 passes in 56 attempts in 559 yards, throwing 4 TDs andΒ Β INTs in two games.
“His accuracy seems to be improving. He’s very inexperienced, but his demeanor in the last two games was good, not great. I think he gets a better feel for our offense every day,” Cowboys head coach Mike Gundy said. “Just like all the rest of them, he should improve each week.”
The Cowboys are -13.5 points favorites over the Red Raiders in the NCAAF week five odds.
