- BetOnline shortened Alabama’s National Championship odds to +150 after the Crimson Tide crushed Kentucky 63-3 in Week 12
- Gators quarterback Kyle Trask (-175) is now a heavy favorite to win the Heisman Trophy after throwing three TDs versus Vanderbilt
- Ohio State survived a scare against No.9 Indiana on Saturday, but Justin Fields’ three interceptions will hurt his Heisman chances
COVID-19 put another spoke in the wheels of the college football season as Clemson’s return to action was postponed after a positive Tigers test spooked the Seminoles.
Alabama, Ohio State and Florida were all in action in Week 12, however, creating a few minor shifts in the National Championship odds and another major swing in the Heisman Trophy race. Let’s look at the latest NCAAF odds and recap all the action.

DABO SWINNEY RIPS SEMINOLES
Clemson coach Dabo Swinney was not happy about being forced to postpone Saturday’s game against the Seminoles, saying: “This game was not canceled because of COVID. COVID was just an excuse to cancel the game. To me, the Florida State administration forfeited the game.”
After a two-week layoff, Clemson (+275) will host Pittsburgh next weekend. The Tigers seem to be locked into a CFP Semifinal rematch with Ohio State (+250), who barely hung on to a 42-35 win against No. 9 Indiana on Saturday. The Buckeyes march to the Big Ten championship is all but assured with three matchups against non-ranked opponents on tap.

Alabama (+150) returned from a three-week layoff in style, blowing out Kentucky 63-3. Nick Saban’s club is on a SEC championship game collision course with Florida (+900), who cruised to an 38-17 victory over Vanderbilt in Week 12.
Having already suffered a loss on the season, the Gators will have to defeat the Crimson Tide in that one, or at least play them tight, in order to leapfrog Notre Dame (+900) for the fourth and final seed in the College Football Playoffs. The 8-0 Fighting Irish will head to North Carolina next Saturday after enjoying a Week 12 bye.
2020 HEISMAN TROPHY ODDS

Mac Jones (Alabama QB) | +325 | ↓ | +200 |
Justin Fields (Ohio State QB) | +400 | ↓ | +275 |

TRASK ON TRACK
For the first time all season, Kyle Trask (-175) didn’t throw at least four touchdown passes in a game… he threw three. After making a big jump up the board last week, the Florida senior is now the clear Heisman favorite after becoming the first quarterback in SEC history to accrue 30 touchdown passes in seven games.
Mac Jones slid from +200 to +325 after the Alabama backs rumbled for five rushing touchdowns against Wildcats on Saturday, leaving the redshirt junior with a modest line of 230 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT.

Better news for Trask’s Heisman chances was Justin Fields (+400) getting picked off three times in Ohio State’s win over the Hoosiers. Scheduled to play three fewer games than both Trask and Jones, the Buckeyes dual-threat star would have had to put together a perfect season to have any chance at the Heisman.
While he’s almost certainly going No. 1 overall in the 2020 NFL Draft, it looks like Trevor Lawrence (+900) will not earn himself a bronze bust in his legendary college career. His Heisman odds slipped all the way from +325 to +900 after the postponement of Clemson’s game with Florida State.
A -120 favorite for the award after Week 8, Lawrence will now go more than a month without playing football after contracting the coronavirus, sitting through a bye week, and having this week’s game canceled.
