Brighton Head to Head Record and Statistics

Brighton forced a draw in the reverse fixture against Liverpool at the Amex thanks to goals from Simon Adingra and Lewis Dunk. Salah’s first-half brace represented the scoring for the Reds, one of which was converted via penalty. The main headline grabbed out of that match was a potential red card incident from Brighton’s Pascal Gross.

The German player found himself compelled to halt Szoboszlai’s advance by tugging at his shirt from behind. However, the referee hesitated to call a penalty until Carlos Baleba collided with Luis Diaz moments later. Gross’s intervention sparked a discussion regarding whether the Brighton player had prevented Liverpool from obtaining a significant goal-scoring chance, potentially warranting a red card. Surprisingly, the 32-year-old emerged from the incident without even receiving a caution.

Liverpool Recent Games and Injury News

Manchester United preserved their hopes for a trophy this season while halting Liverpool’s pursuit of four titles, securing a thrilling extra-time win in an FA Cup quarter-final showdown at Old Trafford. In a match filled with incidents, substitute Amadou Diallo became the hero for Erik ten Hag’s team, netting a decisive goal in the closing moments of extra time, igniting jubilation among the Stretford End faithful. However, Diallo’s euphoric celebrations led to his dismissal after receiving a second yellow card.

The Liverpool medical facility continues to see high traffic following new injuries sustained during the FA Cup loss to Manchester United. Jurgen Klopp has expressed concerns for the fitness of Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, and Cody Gakpo as the Reds approach the international break. Nevertheless, there was a glimmer of hope at Old Trafford as Ryan Gravenberch made a comeback to the bench after recovering from an ankle problem. Before the clash with Brighton on March 31, there’s potential for further positive developments as Ibrahima Konate, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Diogo Jota near their return to action.

Liverpool vs Brighton Prediction

This game has a Liverpool win written all over it. Brighton are in bad shape recently, and I don’t think the international break will work any wonders for them. Their backline has been leaky, and it’s hurt their offense too. Without a healthy midfield, they’ve played without the ball for far too long, and can’t get anything going in the offensive third.

Brighton has scored multiple goals just once since February 3, and that was against Sheffield United, the laughingstock of the Premier League at this point. Liverpool is on a title run and will show no mercy. With all that being said, can I really get to a (-250) price tag? Implying a win probability of 71.4%, I don’t see much of an edge in betting Liverpool. There are some injury questions that will linger all the way up until kickoff and I see this game being very open. That leaves opportunities for Brighton and their fast wing play from de Zerbi to potentially create lethal chances.

Free Betting Pick for the Best Liverpool Odds

For this match, I will have to venture into the player prop market. A fun, and profitable, wager style I have seen success with recently is parlaying in the “score or assist” market. Teams with a clear pair of elite offensive players who work well together in the box, take penalty kicks and free kicks, and generate plenty of chances are great options to look at parlaying their score or assist odds. You can get around (+300) for an outcome that can occur in just one event, which itself can occur in a variety of ways.

I think this game will be wide open, with Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez spearheading counter-attacks and crosses constantly. The two should find each other at some point and put the ball in the back of the net, but there are editions in which the two score or assist without the involvement of the other. That’s why it is nice our bet covers both situations. Give me Salah and Nunez to score or assist in a parlay at anything (+225) or better.

BetOnline, BetUS, and Bovada are all great online sportsbooks that offer the ability to offer parlays on player props in the same game. This is a luxury that many books do not provide to users!
