The 13th edition of the Copa Argentina, the Copa Argentina AXION Energy 2023. began in January with 64 teams starting the tournament. Twenty-eight of those teams are members of the Primera Division. The other 36 teams involved in the Copa Argentina come from the following leagues: Primera Nacional (15), Primera B (5), Primera C (4), Primera D (2), and Federal A (10). River Plate, who have three titles, are the only club to win the Copa Argentina in back-to-back years, with victories in 2016, and 2017. The team won its third title in 2019.
