NCAAB Betting – Texas at (17) Oklahoma

Texas Longhorns at (17) Oklahoma Sooners (-6.5, 130.5 o/u)

Tonight, the resurgent Texas Longhorns (17-8, 6-6 Big 12) will head to Norman to face the Oklahoma Sooners (17-8, 8-5 Big 12) in a pivotal Big 12 matchup (9:00 p.m. Eastern).

The Longhorns dropped four straight conference games in late January and early February, but they have rebounded with three straight wins against Kansas State, TCU, and Texas Tech. Their 56-41 win over the Red Raiders last time out saw Myles Turner score 25 points (on 10-of-13 shooting) and grab 12 rebounds.

The Sooners, meanwhile, will try to bounce back from a 59-56 loss at Kansas State on Saturday. The narrow loss ended Oklahoma’s five-game win streak.

“They were more aggressive than us at both ends of the floor,” Sooners forward TaShawn Thomas said after the game. “They were more aggressive and fought harder on each possession.”

West Virginia did Oklahoma – and everyone else in the Big 12 – a favor on Monday by downing conference-leading Kansas. Now the Sooners are just two games back of the conference lead and have a legitimate hope of a Big 12 regular season title.

But, with only five games left on the schedule, they’ll likely need to win out to have a realistic chance.

The Sooners and Longhorns have already tangled once this season, the Oklahoma handing Texas a convincing 70-49 loss in Austin, covering the spread as six-point dogs.

Oklahoma is a 6.5-point favorite for tonight’s game at the moment. Trend-wise, Oklahoma is 4-8 ATS in its last 12 games at home against Texas and the total has stayed under in seven of the last ten in the series.

Look for the surging Longhorns to keep it close tonight.
