The last sentence above causes us much pause. Rory McIlroy is a favorite in some places because of his recent play and win last week at the Scottish Open. It was a scintillating performance for the Northern Irish golfer who rallied to win by a stroke. Also, this caused bettors to run to get a piece of the action. McIlroy can win the whole thing but also finish well outside of the top ten. Then, there is Scottie Scheffler.

However, they are excellent golfers and have to be considered potential contenders along with Jordan Spieth, Viktor Hovland, and others. As much as Kopeka could win come Sunday, DeChambeau keeps finding his length and putter more and more comfortable. That may be a flier worth a small wager.
