Latest betting to win the Big East
In the betting to win the Big East, Connecticut is the clear favorite with the top-rated college basketball betting sites. BetOnline has UConn at -160 to top the Conference, with Creighton second in the betting at +425.
Also in the mix is Marquette at +600 and Villanova at +700. Marquette has had a poor start to their Conference season, sitting in sixth place with a 3-3 record. Villanova is in fifth place with a 4-2 record.
Outsiders in the betting mix are the second-placed Seton Hall, who is +2800, and St John’s, who sit fourth with a 4-2 record and are +1200.
Betting to win the 2024 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship
Despite taking over the top-ranking position from Purdue, UConn hasn’t been able to displace the Boilermakers as the favorites with the best college basketball betting sites to win the 2024 NCAA Championship.
Purdue still leads the way at +900, with the No.5 ranked Houston Cougars second in the betting at +1000. Then comes the Huskies at +1100, just ahead of Kentucky and Arizona, who are both +1200. This time last week, the Arizona Wildcats were the favorite at +900, highlighting just how fast-moving this market has become in recent weeks.

UConn Huskies vs. Creighton Bluejays; Latest Form
We already know that UConn is on a winning streak of five. This sees them sitting second in the Big East with a 5-1 record in the Conference. Their only Conference defeat came in their opening match. It was at the hands of Seton Hall, where they lost 75-60 at the Prudential Center in the week before Christmas.
Since that loss, the Huskies have defeated St John’s (69-65), DePaul (85-58), Butler (88-81), Xavier (80-75), and Georgetown (80-67). They boast a home record of 9-0 this season and an overall record of 15-2, which is far superior to anybody else in the Big East Conference.
Creighton is on a four-match winning streak. The wins have come against Georgetown (77-60), Providence (69-60), DePaul (84-58), and St John’s (66-65). The Bluejays last lost against Marquette, when they went down 72-67 at the Fiserv Forum in their final match of 2023.
In the Big East, they have a Conference record of 4-2. Overall, they are 13-4 this season. That breakdown is 8-1 at home and 4-2 on the road.

Last weekend’s one-point win over St John’s doesn’t inspire confidence in the Bluejays ahead of a trip to Gampel Pavilion to take on the betting favorites to win the Big East, who just so happen to be the No.1 ranked team and the defending champions.
This is the business end of the season in the Big East, and a win for the Huskies puts them level with Seton Hall (who won again on Tuesday) at the top. The Pirates are showing no sign of letting up, so UConn knows they need to win this.
A defeat for the Huskies would also see Creighton draw level with them in the Big East. So there is more incentive for Dan Hurley’s team.
We’ve seen it often in the NCAA and sports in general. A team gets to the top and is then supposed to kick on and surge ahead. UConn is in this position now, having assumed the No.1 ranking. It would be just typical if they go and blow it tonight.
But we are going to deal in facts for our picks, and Creighton struggled against St John’s last weekend. The Huskies are also on a better run of wins and have a home-court advantage. UConn to win and cover is our betting pick.
