That forward firepower is provided by a trio of stars. Record goalscorer Catalina Usme is always reliable and she is supported by one of world soccer’s most in-form players in Mayra Ramirez, who had an excellent season in domestic football with Levante.
It is the third member of the attacking trio, however, who will be most keenly watched this year. Linda Caciedo was named as Player of the Tournament at the Copa America last year, when Colombia reached the final against Brazil, and is expected to shine in Australia and New Zealand.
