Ke Huy Quan is also an overwhelming favorite in the Best Supporting Actor category following wins at the Golden Globes and SAGs.

However, Best Actress, Best Actor and Best Supporting Actress are all up for grabs this Sunday. Before we look at the latest 2023 Oscars Betting odds and make our picks, check out the top betting sites for Entertainment in 2023.

Fraser now the favorite

It seemed as if Brendan Fraser (-175) had fallen behind Austin Butler (+150) in the Best Actor race after the Elvis impersonator captured statuettes at the Golden Globes and BAFTAs. However, the star of The Whale reemerged as the favorite following his victory at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. After all, 22 of the past 28 SAG winners went on to win the Best Actor Oscar.

Can Butler rebound on Sunday? On one hand, Elvis has far more Oscar nominations than The Whale.  On the other, the 31-year-old is much younger than most Best Actor winners from a historical perspective. Fellow actors, especially, may want to reward Fraser for an up-down career that started with Encino Man over three decades ago.

Yeoh or Blanchett?

Michelle Yeoh (-130) leapfrogged Cate Blanchett (+105) after claiming the SAG Award. That trophy has correlated with the Best Actress Oscar in 20 of the past 28 years. The veteran actress is the first Asian woman ever nominated in this category. Meanwhile, Blanchett has already won two Academy Awards for The Aviator (2004) and Blue Jasmine (2013).

That said, the Australian Meryl Streep had an award-season sweep in play before her SAG loss. And, while Everything Everywhere All at Once will capture tons of hardware, Blanchett is the only way voters can reward Tár . Todd Field’s psychological thriller is not expected to win in its other five nominated categories.

Bassett, Curtis or Condon?

Angela Bassett (+130) was honored at the Golden Globe and Critics’ Choice ceremonies before falling to Jamie Lee Curtis (+160) at the SAG Awards, which has predicted 20 of the past 28 winners in this category.

The Black Panther: Wakanda Forever star also lost to The Banshees of Inisherin‘s Kerry Condon (+275) at the BAFTAs. Keep in mind that an actor has never won an Academy Award for a Marvel movie. That alone should probably make Curtis the favorite.

Curtis is a long overdue 64-year-old film legend. True Lies, anyone?

With a win, she could help make Everything Everywhere All at Once only the third movie in Oscars history to claim three acting awards.
