It’s a star-studded affair at this year’s tourney. For those unfamiliar, the PNC Championship is a unique tournament that sees golf pros team up with a member of their family. The defending champions, however, are John Daly and his son John Daly II. The father-son duo held off a late surge from the Woods in the 2021 event to claim the title. All in all, 20 teams will take center stage at the Ritz-Carlton GC in Orlando — the hosting location. The tourney is a par-72 completion, played across 7,234 yards, and contested under a scramble format. For those unfamiliar, in a scramble, the two team members each play a tee shot. They select the better drive, alternating shots from there until it’s in the hole.
This is not an official PGA event, therefore there’s zero PGA Tour prize money at stake. Though, that’s not to say money isn’t on the line. In total, tourney winners will share a just-under prize pool of $1.1 million.
Best Bets To Win 2022 PNC Championship
Out of the 20-team pool, who’s the best bet to make at the 2022 PNC Championship? Welp, first things first, we advise making at least two picks here. While we can gauge how the pro players will perform, it’s much harder to do so with their accompanying family member. That unknown variable makes this tourney more of a crapshoot than a regular PGA event. Therefore, it would be smart to throw money multiple ways — and not go “all in.”

To no one’s surprise, Mike has his own past in the sport. Mike was the head professional at the Harmony Landing Country Club in Goshen, Kentucky — which helped raise Justin into the world-class player he is today. There are multiple ways to watch the 2022 PNC Championship. In fact, TV coverage over the three days will be split between two TV networks — NBC and The Golf Channel.
