As we mentioned above, all eyes are now on the Milwaukee Brewers, who now have plenty of people on their bandwagon. Milwaukee wasn’t expected to get past the mighty Dodgers and their enormous payroll with the NL pennant on the line, but they did just that. The win in Game 1 was shocking, then so on in Game 2 and Game 3. With Game 4 being in LA, no way the Brewers were going to pull off the sweep in this one right? They did, and it was pretty cool to see.
“I couldn’t be happier for our group,” Brewers manager Pat Murphy said via ESPN. “You guys talk to me all the time and hear my nonsense, but the truth is these guys are a special group. They’re together. They care about each other. I respect the hell out of them (Dodgers). Those are all people that I know well. But we can’t just be their whipping boy all the time. We have to break through.”
With Milwaukee now on the way to the World Series, the Brewers hold -170 odds to win it all. Don’t forget too that the Brewers have never won the title, so they’re oh so close to making history. It will be interesting to see if the NL Central club can pull things off or not, but they’re in a great spot to make it happen. With Milwaukee being a small-market team too, it sure would be great for MLB as a whole if it happens. However, it’s not going to be easy, as the Rays are behind them with +190 odds.

Aaron Judge’s injury continues to hang over the Yankees
Earlier in the postseason, there was no question that the Aaron Judge injury news kept getting worse. Not only did Judge miss the Wild Card Round against Boston, but he also was nowhere to be seen in the ALDS against the Rays. Because of that, Tampa Bay barely broke a sweat, closing things out in the Bronx in convincing fashion.
Moving forward this offseason, the hope for the Yankees is going to be that the former AL MVP can get back to full health as soon as possible. If the Yankees want to end the long streak of not winning the World Series, then Judge is going to have to be at his best next season. If he’s still banged, then the frustration is only going to continue to mount for the Bronx Bombers. However, if he’s at his best, then the Yankees’ MLB Playoffs betting odds will surely be high at this point next October.
There are Trea Turner questions to be asked in Philly
There are always going to be quite high expectations for the Phillies, which is why countless fans are a bit upset with the fact that they weren’t able to make any noise this fall. While Philadelphia wasn’t expected to reach the World Series, there was some thought that maybe, just maybe they’d be in a spot to push for the NL pennant. That did not happen, and Trea Turner hasn’t looked like himself, which is another problem. Executive Dave Dombrowski made it more than clear that Turner needs to wake up, and quickly.
Phillies president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski has made it clear that Turner must improve defensively to remain the team’s starting shortstop in 2027. Turner will retain the position for now, but another season of poor defensive performances could force Philadelphia to consider moving him elsewhere on the field. Dombrowski addressed the situation during his October 15 press conference, as reported by MLB.com.
Turner has seven years left on his monster deal, so the last thing the Phillies are going to want is for a position change to arrive. He needs to remind everyone why he landed such a lucrative contract in the first place. Only time will tell if he’ll respond next season, but if he doesn’t, the Phillies could have to adjust things on the fly.
Jackson Chourio is the favorite to be named World Series MVP
As you probably could have guessed, Jackson Chourio is the favorite to be named World Series MVP. What the young slugger has been able to get done this year has been spectacular, with him playing a monster role in the Brewers being four wins away from winning the first title ever for the organization.
When it comes to MLB prop bets, there’s a good reason why Chourio holds the No. 1 odds to be named World Series MVP. With the Brewers being the favorites, it’s not a surprise that a Milwaukee player is No. 1 on the list. With Chourio being listed at +550, it shows that he’s got what it takes to make this happen.
