Week 15 of the NFL Thursday Night Football schedule saw the Kansas City Chiefs defeat the Los Angeles Chargers by a score of 34-28 in a game that went into overtime. The win moved the Chiefs to 10-4 and dropped the Chargers to 8-6. The teams are one and two in the standings in the AFC West.
Week 16’s Thursday Night Football game pits the San Francisco 49ers against the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium in Tennessee. Despite the team’s 8-6 record, the 49ers are in third place in the NFC West. They trail the Arizona Cardinals (10-4) and the Los Angeles Rams (9-4). The Titans are in first place in the AFC South with a 9-5 record.

49ers vs Titans Odds
49ers vs Titans
San Francisco has recovered from a rough start to the 2021 NFL season. The team went 3-5 to open the year, but have since put together a 5-1 run. The 49ers have found success with a balanced offense. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has played well and the running game has been a potent part of San Francisco’s game this season. The team has 20 rushing touchdowns.
I expect the Titans to keep the 49ers from racking up a lot of yards on the ground on Thursday. The team has allowed the third fewest rushing yards in the NFL this season. The Titans are coming off a game where they held the Pittsburgh Steelers to 35 yards on the ground. The downside of the Titans defense is that its passing defense can be exploited.
One for the old team. @Bud_Dupree

The Titans offense has not rebounded from losing Derrick Henry and that has cost them. In their past four games, the Titans have scored 13 points in three games (all losses) and 20 in their only win. That will not cut it against a San Francisco club who hasn’t scored fewer than 23 points in the past six weeks.
Expect Nick Bosa to put pressure on Tennessee quarterback Ryan Tannehill. Bosa, who has sacks in six straight games, is 4.5 sacks away from tying the team record for one season in that department. The club record for sacks stands at 19.5.
Thursday Night Football Best Bets
Pick 49ers to win. San Francisco is playing some of its best football of the year down the stretch and they are in the hunt to secure a wild card spot. They will be fired up and ready to play a Tennessee team who cannot afford to make any mistakes if it wants to win.
El Jefe runs it up the middle for the #49ers touchdown!

Pick the over. I know the Titans defense is good, but the 49ers offense is firing on all cylinders. San Francisco is not having any problems putting points on the board. If the 49ers can hit the low 30s in points, which they have been doing on the regular, Tennessee should be able to make up the difference to hit the over.
