Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady shaved the odds of him winning the 2021 NFL MVP award after Week 13 of the season. Brady was +300 to win the NFL’s most valuable player award before Week 13. Now, heading into Week 14, Brady is +130 to win his fourth MVP award. Brady claimed the most valuable player in 2007, 2010 and 2017. Four other players (Jim Brown, Johnny Unitas, Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers) have won the award three times. The only player with over three MVP titles is Peyton Manning, who retired with five.
NFL MVP Odds Update
Josh Allen tumbles
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen had been near the top of the MVP pack for most of the 2021 NFL season, but he went from +375 to +1200 following a loss to the New England Patriots on Monday Night. Allen, who was hampered by the win in Buffalo, went 15 for 30 for 145 yards. His 50 percent completion rate was his worst rate of the season and his quarterback ranking of 20.4 was also his lowest number of the season.
That's. Our. Quarterback.

This New England game was huge for Buffalo and Allen’s inability to get the win at home hurt his chances at MVP. Buffalo has alternated wins and losses over its past eight games and the team is in Tampa Bay during Week 14.
Can Brady lock it up?
Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers face the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. This is a game that could define how the rest of the season goes for Tampa Bay, who are in first place in the NFC South at 9-3. This is the type of game that the MVP voters will keep a close eye on. If Brady can lead his team to victory against Buffalo, who were one of the favorites entering the 2021 NFL season, he might be able to put a lock on the 2021 NFL MVP.
A connection that never gets old.

Mac Jones drops
New England won on Monday night, defeating the Buffalo Bills by a score of 14-10. The victory was the seventh win in a row for the Pats and Mac Jones. Despite that run, Jones dropped from +2500 in the MVP odds to +10000. The reason? Jones only threw three passes during the entire game. With the way the Patriots played in the win over Buffalo, the team’s coaching staff took a lot of the shine off the play of Jones.

That’s not to say Jones has played poorly — he hasn’t — but the coaches, culture and team play in New England might be a big reason Jones has found success in his rookie season.
