The Houston Texans have a change to erase the poor image they left last week, when they visit the San Francisco 49ers at Candlestick, this Sunday at 8:30 PM ET in the NFL week 5.
The Texans were leading 20-3 at some point in last week matchup against the Seattle Seahawks, but then everything change and they started Β making mistakes, especially in the offense side with QB Matt Schaub throwing a pick six.
“He’s our quarterback,” head coach Gary Kubiak said. “I don’t see a lack of confidence. I see poor decision-making situations. It’s something he has to handle and something we have to help him handle.”
Houston lost 23-20 by the way.Β They are 0-4 against the spread this season.
San Francisco beat the Rams on Thursday night of week 4 with running back Frank Gore recording 153 yards and a scoring in the win.Β They had a little more time to prepare for this one against the Texans.
“You want that response,” coach Jim Harbaugh said. “I thought the team stared adversity in the face (with) a lot of grit and determination. The guys played with great energy and great toughness.”
The 49ers are 4.5 point favorites in the NFL betting odds.Β The game total was set at 43 points.
The betting trends say Houston is 0-5 ATS in its last 5 games on the road, and San Francisco is 16-7-1 ATS in its last 24 games at home.Β Also, the total has gone OVER in 7 of San Francisco’s last 8 games at home.
