The new version of the Colts vs Patriots classic hits the stage this Saturday at 8:15 PM ET at Gillette Stadium when Andrew Luck and Tom Brady clash for the first time in the postseason.
Indianapolis enters this game after coming from behind and beating the Kansas City Chiefs last week 45-44. Luck threw for 443 yards, 4 TDs and 3 INTs.
The Patriots will have to keep an eye on WR TY Hilton who had six catches and 100 yards against them last season. Hilton had 13 catches, 224 yards and 2 TDs against the Chiefs last Saturday.
“He’s productive at all three levels of the defense,” Patriots coach Belichick said. “He’s a vertical receiver, he’s a good intermediate receiver, and he’s a good catch-and-run short receiver that can turn short plays into big plays.”
Tom Brady is 17-7 in the postseason, and 2-0 against the Colts; both times he eliminated Indianapolis the Patriots won the Super Bowl.
“You’re playing with one of the best,” WR Julien Edelman, who had 100 catches on the year said. “That’s huge. … It could be a combination; I don’t know … But I’m not gonna complain.”
The NFL odds for this game have the Patriots as a touchdown favorite, and the game total was set at 51.5 points.
Indianapolis is 2-12 SU in its last 14 games when playing on the road against New England, but the Patriots are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games when playing at home against the Colts.
