The most disappointing team in the NFL in this first three weeks has to be the NY Giants; I think we can all agree to that.Β In order to avoid to 0-4 hole, New York looks to upset the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead, this Sunday at 1 PM ET.
The Giants hit their lowest point in years when they got smashed by the Panthers 38-0 last week. Then, after the game there were a few shots fired by WR Hakeem Nicks to his quarterback.
“Once you get to pointing the finger, you get that cancer in the locker room like that, it can fall apart easy,” defensive tackle Cullen Jenkins said. “You can’t do that. This is a team game. We come into every week, every game, as a team, we leave every game as a team. We win or lose as a team together.”
Eli Manning, the target of Nickβs comments declined to participate in the circus.Β Heβs ready to move on.
“We have to play better,” quarterback Eli Manning said. “We have to have greater energy, greater enthusiasm, play better, better technique, decision making. There are some plays out there that we left on the field, and sometimes we just got flat-out beat. It’s not a big surprise what we have to do to fix it. We just have to go out there and play better football.”
Kansas City has had more than a week of rest, and they havenβt committed a single turnover in the season, which is a spectacular number when you realize New York has 13 in three weeks.
The Giants have won four straight against the Chiefs, and a win on Sunday will get them to cover the four points in the spread, as well.Β The game total is set at 44 points.
