You know Drew Brees, Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers will be on the list of quarterbacks who can be on top for passing yards in the 2013 NFL season. Also, you can count Tom Brady out of this discussion as he lost his main targets this season and he needs to get in sync with his new teammates.
Drew Brees 3/1 – New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints were the best passing team last season in terms of yards; this year they’ll have back coach Sean Payton, who’s a leader and one of the most creative play callers in the game, so, things could only get better.
Brees comes into this season with a chip on his shoulder as he felt they were wrongly targeted by the NFL last season.
The veteran quarterback will have his usual targets Marques Colston, Lance Moore, Darren Sproles and Jimmy Graham, but also this year could be the breakout season for a star in the making: Joe Morgan.
Peyton Manning 9/2 – Denver Broncos
Most people said there was a two year window with Peyton Manning and the Broncos if so, we are in year two and their only goal is to reach the Super Bowl. Of course, with Manning you know the way is by passing the ball.
They added Wes Welker, which will be a tremendous asset to this offense; a game changer if you will, but also is year two with tremendous young playmakers Eric Decker and Demaryius Thomas.
The addition of rookie running back Monte Ball will help Manning, as well.
Aaron Rodgers 6-1 – Green Bay Packers
Rodgers and the Packers will go with Randall Cobb, Jordy Nelson, James Jones and Jermichael Finley as the main targets, but with number 12 he will find someone else to catch the ball.
The Packers offense will be fine despite losing Donald Driver and Greg Jennings, but I’m not sure they will be good enough for Aaron to throw the most passing yards this season.
