All eyes will be on the 2014 version of the Denver Broncos versus the New England Patriots, as the two teams face off in the marquee Week 9 game Sunday (4:25 p.m. Eastern on CBS).

Of course, everyone will be talking about quarterbacks Peyton Manning and Tom Brady.  The two quarterbacks have combined for 40 touchdowns against just five interceptions so far this season.

“Peyton has been a phenomenal player — so consistent and durable for a long period of time,” Brady said of his counterpart.  “We’ve had a great rivalry in the AFC East (when Manning was with Indianapolis), and this year is no different.”

“Not much he does surprises me.  The guy’s an incredible player,” Broncos coach John Fox said about Brady.  “I know we’ve had our problems winning at their place, so it’ll be a huge challenge.”

Both quarterbacks will face challenges though, as the Broncos and Patriots respectively employ two of the best cornerbacks in the league.  Broncos corner Aqib Talib is going up against his old team, which undoubtedly adds extra motivation.  Meanwhile, the Patriots signed corner Darrelle Revis to take Talib’s place this season.  Revis hasn’t let his new team down.

“If you’re throwing against (Revis), you better be accurate,” Manning said.

One advantage the Broncos will have over the Patriots is their superior pass rush.  Outside linebackers Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware have nine and seven sacks respectively on the season.

“Look, you wait a year to play this game,” Brady said.  “You get one of the best teams in the league against us, and we feel like we’re a pretty good team, and that’s why you play the game.  It doesn’t get any better than this.”

The Broncos are currently a 4-point favorite in this one.  The over/under is at 54.
