The Quarterback Carousel
The best way to tap into potential value at this time of year is to look for teams who might be in the market for a new quarterback and this offseason promises to be spectacularly busy on that front. The Rams already made their move, of course, sending Jared Goff and a boatload of draft picks to Detroit for 33-year-old Matthew Stafford, but at +1200 to win next year’s Super Bowl, Sean McVay’s club is now overvalued if anything.
Given that the Jets are reportedly Deshaun Watson’s preferred destination and that they have the draft pick ammunition to overwhelm Houston, Robert Saleh’s squad is a mouthwatering +10000 at Bovada.

Other rumored landing spots for the Texans star include the Dolphins (+3000), Panthers (+5000), Raiders (+5500) and Bears (+6000) – all which offer nice value if you happen to guess correctly.
The 49ers (+1700) and Colts (+3300) stand out as potential title contenders if they can figure out a way to upgrade at the sport’s most valuable position. With neither likely to surrender the draft capital to acquire Watson, however, it’s fair to question whether a guy like Kirk Cousins, Sam Darnold or Carson Wentz would provide the necessary lift to either club.
Notable and Newsworthy
Thanks to Josh Allen’s rapid ascension and magic connection with Stefon Diggs, the Buffalo Bills (+1200) are behind only the Chiefs (+500) on the list of Super Bowl 56 contenders. After firing defensive coordinator Mike Pettine, the Packers (+1200) now have to appease Aaron Rodgers by adding weapons in the draft, and decide whether to re-sign free-agent running back Aaron Jones.
The bloom is off the rose in Baltimore (+2000) after another disappointing playoff exit for Lamar Jackson and company, and the Steelers (+3300) are AFC North afterthoughts with Ben Roethlisberger either retiring or returning for another sad year of dinking and dunking down the field. Expected to replace Drew Brees with Jameis Winston, the Saints (+2500) are also not getting the same respect from oddsmakers as in recent years.

ong>Dallas (+3300) is a perennial offseason media darling, but if new DC Dan Quinn can make the defense respectable, the Cowboys offense should continue to rack up points with a healthy Dak Prescott.
The Chargers (+4500 at Bovada) are also a nice speculative bet after the hiring of Brandon Staley. If the former Rams DC can weaponize blue chippers in defensive end Joey Bosa and safety Derwin James, Los Angeles could make the leap assuming Justin Herbert stays on the same “rocket ship to the moon” trajectory in his sophomore season.
