Week 12’s Monday Night Football game featured two teams with losing records – the Seattle Seahawks and the Washington Football Team. The stakes of this week’s game are much higher as the 8-4 New England Patriots travel to Buffalo to face the 7-4 Bills. The teams are No. 1 and No. 2 in the AFC East and while Buffalo and New England are not heading in opposite directions, the Patriots, who are on a 6-0 run are having more success than Buffalo, who are 3-3 and have alternated wins and losses over their past six outings.

Patriots vs. Bills Odds
Patriots vs. Bills
On Monday night, the New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills meet for the first time in the 2021 NFL season. The second matchup between these two clubs takes place during Week 16.
These franchises have faced each other 122 times since their first meeting took place in 1960. History favors New England as they have a record of 76-45-1 against Buffalo. New England has dominated Buffalo since 2000, with a record of 35-6. The Bills won both matchups between the teams in 2020. In the most recent game, which took place on December 28, 2020, Buffalo ran over the Patriots 38-9.

With the way these two teams are playing, the odds seem a bit out of line. New England have surrendered a combined 26 points in their last four games and have scored 130. The team has a season scoring differential, which is best in the league, of +146. Yes, Buffalo is second in scoring differential for the season at +144, but over their past four outings Buffalo has outscored their opponents by a slimmer margin, 97-73.

I understand there might be some reluctance in picking Mac Jones and the Patriots over Jake Allen and the Bills might be a difficult thing to do considering how these teams started the 2021 season, but New England has gelled as a team during its six-game winning streak while Buffalo has shown some weaknesses over the team’s past six outings.
MNF Best Bets
Pick New England to win. Head coach Bill Belichick has a healthy and confident team and with the way the club has been playing on both sides of the ball, it’s hard to pick against the Pats right now.
Pick New England to cover. The Patriots have covered the spread six weeks in a row. I think they make it seven in a row in Buffalo on Monday night.
