- BetOnline has the Ravens as 7-point home favorites over Indianapolis on Monday Night Football
- Jonathan Taylor rushed for 103 yards and a TD to lead the Colts to their first win of the season against Miami last Sunday
- Lamar Jackson is the first player in NFL history with 1,000 yards passing and 250 yards rushing through the first four games of a season
Baltimore will set a new NFL record against the Colts on Monday night if they put up 100 or more rushing yards for the 44th consecutive game. But make no mistake – the Ravens have transformed into a passing team in 2021, with Lamar Jackson leading the league in yards per completion (14.36) and air yards per passing attempt (11.60).
While Lamar airs it out, Carson Wentz has been grounded with ankle injuries in his first year in Indianapolis. Before we look at the line for the last game on the Week 5 slate, be sure to check out our free tips and advice for betting on NFL football games and Super Bowl futures.

Ravens vs Colts
Indianapolis is a 7-point road underdog to the Ravens on Monday night. The Colts finally picked up their first victory of the season last Sunday, beating an awful Dolphins team 27-17, but Baltimore’s defense will prove a much stiffer test. Don “Wink” Martindale’s unit registered five sacks in a 23-7 victory over the Broncos in Week 5, allowing a season-low 254 yards and holding Denver to 3-of-14 on third down.
With injuries across the offensive line, a hobbled Wentz will be a sitting duck against an aggressive Ravens pass rush and Jonathan Taylor will find few running lanes after torching Miami for 103 rushing yards and a touchdown last week.

Lamar Jackson has been chucking it deep this season and he may have a new toy to throw to if rookie wide receiver Rashod Bateman can make his debut on Monday night. Even if the 2019 NFL MVP doesn’t light it up through the air, Baltimore should find success on the ground where the Colts are allowing 114 yards per game.
With Indy undermanned and playing a third-consecutive road game, this MNF matchup has blowout potential. Keep in mind that Baltimore won a league-high nine games by at least 14 points last season, one of which came in Indianapolis.
MNF Best Bets
Bet the OVER on 46.0. This profiles as boring, slug-it-out kind of game but Lamar’s new pass-happy approach is going to put extra pressure on a Colts defense that looked pretty mediocre in losses to the Seahawks, Rams and Titans. If Wentz is forced into catch-up mode, expect the Ravens defense to capitalize with a pick 6 or a fumble scoop-and-score.

Ravens to cover 7-point spread. It seemed like a lost season for John Harbaugh’s club after a rash of running back injuries, but the evolution of the passing attack and Lamar’s growth as a passer has Baltimore looking like a contender once again. Following an early-season upset of the Chiefs and a Week 4 road win over the then 3-0 Broncos, look for the Ravens to make a statement in primetime.
Final Score Prediction: Baltimore 31, Colts 16.
