NFL Preseason Week 4: Saints vs Titans

The New Orleans Saints and the Tennessee Titans met last season and what ended as one of the best games of the year in 2011.  They will meet again in the preseason week 4 as they try to adjust the last few things entering the regular season. The game is on Thursday at 7 PM ET at LP Field.

The Saints had to leave New Orleans earlier to avoid Tropical Storm Isaac headed for the Gulf Coast. They trained in the Cincinnati Bengals facilities before facing the Titans. “Joe (Vitt), who’s kind of running the show now, has been a good friend for a long time,” Bengals coach Marvin Lewis said after his team’s practice Monday. “So it works out well. We’ve talked a couple of times already”.

“They haven’t had an opportunity to have their team back together,” Lewis said. “They haven’t even looked at the tape of their players (from the preseason game) yet. So they’re going to get in here tonight and try to get some of their evaluation done from the last game”.

There is no information about how many quarters Drew Brees will play; expect him to see the field as little as possible.

For the Titans, the biggest news this week was that they have activated Kenny Britt off the PUP list, making him eligible to play Week 1 against the New England Patriots.

“We feel he’s done what we liked,” coach Mike Munchak said. “We’re hoping the next couple days we can make that decision and get him out here working, and then let the league do what it has to do”.
