Has First Contact Already taken Place?
The recently released report from the ODNI comes after decades of silence from US government and military officials about the existence and origins of what the US Department of Defense refers to as unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP). While few definitive details are provided, the report expects individual UAP incidents to fall into one of five categories. These include airborne clutter, natural atmospheric phenomena, USG or U.S. industry developmental programs, foreign adversary systems, and a catchall “other” bin.

The unclear nature of the “other” bin has created a buzz, with some observers now suggesting that first contact has already taken place.
