MLB Odds- Brewers vs Pirates, Lohse vs Morton

The Pittsburgh Pirates look to keep their momentum going and the series against the Milwaukee Brewers help in order to do so.  Kyle Lohse for the Brewers and Charlie Morton for the Pirates are expected to be the pitchers for the game on Sunday at 1:35 PM ET.

Charlie MortonPittsburgh has won eight of the last 10 games, and they are on top of the National League Central division one game above the St. Louis Cardinals, who have been a bit unstable lately.  The Pirates are on a seven game winning streak, since June 20th as they have beaten the Angels, the Marines and the Brewers in that stretch.

We’re just playing really well,” rookie pitcher Gerrit Cole told the Pirates’ official website. “Nothing crazy. When you play with that swagger, you put a lot of pressure on the other team.”

The Brewers have lost three in a row and four of the last five.  They had Rookie Donovan Hand on his second career start for Milwaukee on Saturday, and they like what they saw of him.

“Donovan showed what you can do when you mix up pitches, and you’re throwing strikes, and how quickly you can get some outs,” manager Ron Roenicke told the Brewers’ official website.

Kyle Lohse is 3-6 this season with a 3.69 ERA; meanwhile Charlie Morton is just 1-1 with a 2.81 ERA.

Pittsburgh’s is -125 in the moneyline to win outright on Sunday and Milwaukee +115.
