MLB Odds – Who Will Get the Best of the Regional Rivalries?

It was nearly two decades ago that MLB introduced interleague play. The league was still feeling the pinch from a devastating strike a few years prior and saw interleague play – which would allow regional rivals to meet outside of the World Series – as an easy way to attract more interest in the game.

Naturally, baseball purists had issues.

Today, the league has reworked the notion to include at least one interleague game daily with teams each playing 20 games (four series at home, as well as away). Over the years, healthy rivalries among in-state and neighboring teams have developed, and the 2015 season finds several of said rivalries looking like they will be very competitive.

Today, we take a look at which teams are likely to outplay, outlast, and perhaps outwit their regional rivals in 2015.
