Czech Liga Pro Table Tennis Picks; Three Friday matches to follow

It’s Friday, and that means it’s time for more table tennis betting picks from the Czech Liga Pro. Today we’re following the three matches involving Milan Zika. Can he pull off another treble from his three scheduled matches? Or are we backing any of his opponents instead? Read on to find out.

  • Milan Zika had a disappointing Tuesday at the Czech Liga Pro, losing two and winning two of his four matches
  • Today he takes on Jaromir Kanok, Michal Vedmoch, and Jiri Stach. The match against Stach promises to be a cracker, but also looks his most difficult
  • The action for Zika gets underway at 2.30 pm, with his match against Kanok. He then plays Vedmoch at 3 pm, and Stach at 4 pm, all Eastern Times

About Table Tennis Betting

If you’re new to table tennis betting, here is some of the information it pays to know. The Czech Liga Pro is – along with the Russian Pro League – one of the top Table Tennis competitions in the world. It has games around the clock every day, meaning there is always something to bet on.

The main markets for betting on any of the top table tennis competitions are the moneyline, the handicap spread, and the total games spread. These are basically the lines you’ll find available on all the top American sports from the best online sportsbooks. And please don’t miss this – all these online sportsbooks have new customer offers, which you can read about on our best sportsbook sign-up bonuses page.

Back to the Czech Liga Pro, and in general, the players are placed into sections of three or four. The players in that section will all play each other once (occasionally twice) in that particular session. Any one player’s three or four matches will usually take place over a two to three hour period.

That is exactly the case with Milan Zika’s three matches today, with his first match starting at 2.30 pm, and his last match starting at 4 pm. One last thing, with this being an ongoing competition, the matches can sometimes overrun. But it is very rare you will ever miss the start of a match because it started early.

Below you will find all the betting for Zika’s matches today on our helpful odds table.

Now, onto our latest betting picks for today’s matches involving Milan Zika. Starting with his clash with Jaromir Kanok.

Milan Zika -275 vs Jaromir Kanok +200

These two met on Tuesday, with Zika winning 3-0 on that occasion. Zika won the sets 11-7, 11-5, and 11-8. In truth, it was a pretty routine win.

The defeat just about summed up Kanok’s form of late. He managed to win his final match on Tuesday, an easy 3-0 (11-5, 11-9, and 11-0) win against Ivo Palmi. But that victory came after a run of six straight defeats across Tuesday and Sunday.

As for Zika, apart from having beaten this opponent earlier this week, he is also on a poor run of form, having lost six of his last eight here in recent days. We still think that Zika will be too strong though, and we’re happy to make him our opening pick to defeat Kanok.

Milan Zika -600 vs Michal Vedmoch +350

When these two players met on April 21st, the odds on a win for Zika were -275, with Vedmoch at +200. Such is the direction both players have gone recently, the odds now read Zika -600, to Vedmoch +350.

Back then Zika won 3-1, and it’s hard to see any different outcome today. On the handicap line, Zika is +150 giving away 1.5 sets. That would mean he needs to win 3-1 or 3-0 to cover the spread.

But given Zika’s form has been a bit patchy lately, we think that -600 is a touch too short. So we are recommending either adding Zika to a parlay involving one or both of the other picks, or backing him to cover the handicap spread.

Milan Zika +120 vs Jiri Stach -163

Zika and Stach met recently with the latter coming out the winner twice over Zika on Tuesday. The first match was a five set thriller that went one way and then the other. While the second match was a one-sided 3-0 win for Stach.

Starting with the first match, Stach won the opening set by 11 points to six. But back stormed Zika to win the second set 11-8 and the third set 11-7. This prompted a fightback from Jiri Stach, which saw him take the fourth set 11-7. Stach was on a roll at this point, and Zika couldn’t stop him. The fifth and deciding set finished 11-6 to Stach.

Then in the pair’s second meeting of the day, Jiri Stach was in cruise control. Eventually he won the match in three sets, with scores of 11-5, 11-9, and 11-8.

The odds show the top sportsbooks are giving Zika a chance of gaining revenge. But Jiri Stach is in good form. He won all four of his matches here on Tuesday. So can we make a case for Zika winning this one? We’re not convinced. So we’re going with the form and are making Jiri Stach our final betting pick.
