- Bovada, BetOnline and BetUS offer 2021 MLB Futures on the LA Dodgers winning the World Series, NL Pennant and NL West
- Los Angeles is a +300 favorite to repeat as champions and -600 chalk to claim their ninth-straight division title
- Cody Bellinger and Mookie Betts should soon return from early-season injuries
Snake bitten for years, the Los Angeles Dodgers finally broke through in 2020, winning their first World Series title in 32 years. Now sitting with the best record in baseball (14-5) and on a 126-win pace, the question is whether the defending champions are even better than last season.
Let’s see how oddsmakers are handicapping the club’s chances to claim their division, capture the NL Pennant and rule baseball once again this October. And be sure check out our MLB 2021 betting guide for further wagering tips and advice.
LA Dodgers Futures – 2021 MLB Season
|Dodgers' Odds To Win|
|National League Pennant||+165||+150||+160|
Dodgers off to a hot start
The Dodgers look like a sure best to win their ninth-consecutive division title after winning 14 of their first 18 contests, but there’s no value in making a -600 wager. Given that LA is just four games up on the Padres (+433 at Bovada) with more than 140 games still to play, betting on San Diego to win the NL West might not be the worst idea.
Dinelson Lamet is set to rejoin a powerful Padres rotation that that already features Yu Darvish, Blake Snell and Joe Musgrove, and boasts the best combined ERA in the majors at 2.52.

Having dealt with a scourge of early-season injuries, Los Angeles should be getting both Mookie Betts and Cody Bellinger back in the lineup before long. A scary thought for MLB pitchers considering Dodgers hitters are already first in OBP and third in slugging, with the second-highest walk rate.
Can LA go back to back?
Los Angeles has played in three of the past four Fall Classics so betting them to win the National League Pennant (+165 at BetOnline) isn’t necessarily terrible value. Now that the monkey is off their back, wagering the Dodgers to win the World Series at +300 doesn’t even seem that ridiculous.
Dating back to the 2019 All-Star Game, the Dodgers have a .696 winning percentage through 148 regular-season games so there’s no reason to think they’ll slow down too much from their 126-win pace. Their pitching has also helped them survive injuries to their top hitters over the past 12 games, compiling a 1.98 ERA with five shutouts. Best of all, closer Kenley Jansen looks to be back in top form.

While the Dodgers are clearly the class of Major League Baseball, there’s no value in betting on them to win the NL West and their short odds to capture the National League Pennant and another World Series aren’t particularly appealing given the unpredictable nature of October baseball.
