This story, if true, is crazy. We use “if true” because it’s downright unthinkable.
There’s a lucky bettor in Florida who somehow turned a measly $30 into just under $2 million with an MLB betting parlay. Don’t believe it? Yeah, we have our own questions about it too.
But let’s break down what Hard Rock Bet — the top sports betting app in Florida — says happened at the tail end of April. It’s either one of the biggest rags-to-riches come-ups or an elaborate scheme to market the betting app. We’ll decide by the end of it.
+6576031 Parlay Hits In Florida
No, the above headline is not a typo. The odds were really +6576031. So hitting that is pretty much a small miracle, and it apparently happened to an unnamed bettor in Florida.
To get those type of odds, you really need to make some longshot bets, and that’s what this bettor did. It was not just any parlay, it was a home run-specific parlay. And it included six legs. So the bettor wagered on six different players going long in one day. Let’s break down each leg from the April 24 parlay:
Riley Greene Anytime Home Run (+475)
The improbable run began in Cincinnati, which was hosting the Tigers. That’s where outfielder Greene plays, and get this, he’s not known for going long. This season, Greene has only four homers — one of which came in this matchup. Greene hit one deep into center in the second inning, which was the bettor’s first of six wins.
Jesus Sanchez Anytime Home Run (+700)

Sanchez suits up for the Blue Jays, who played the Guardians on this fateful day. Here again, Sanchez isn’t known for high power. He’s up to only five home runs in 2026. But against Cleveland, Sanchez crushed one 422 feet to really get the momentum going for this bettor.
Nick Kurtz Anytime Home Run (+325)
Ok, Kurtz hitting a deep shot was a little less lucky. At +325 odds, this one was the shortest of the whole ticket. The A’s don’t have a lot of bright spots, but Kurtz is one of em. On the opening pitch of the first inning, he made Nathan Eovaldi pay for a fastball. Our bettor was officially halfway to $2 million with this homer.
Bryce Harper Anytime Home Run (+475)
Our bettor finally went with some star power on this leg. As we know, Harper is one of the biggest names in the entire sport and a usual threat to go deep. Harper did just that, belting a home run in the fifth inning against the Braves. At this point, the bettor probably starts thinking it’s a real possibility to nail this parlay…
Coby Mayo Anytime Home Run (+800)
Of all six legs, none had longer odds than Mayo here. Mayo is batting .162 this season so he’s a guy that can hardly get on base, let alone crush a home run. The Orioles’ first and third basemen went against the grain, and drilled a home run to left center. This is where our bettor’s heart starts beating out of his chest cause he’s one away…
Jazz Chisholm Jr. Anytime Home Run (+550)
It all came down to Chisholm of the New York Yankees, who matched up against the Astros. Obviously, the Yankees have a lot of firepower, but batting sixth in the lineup, it usually doesn’t come from Chisholm.
But in his second at-bat of the game, in the fourth inning, Chisholm took a changeup from Lance McCullers to the fences. That was only his second homer of the season, but it just made this bettor the luckiest man in the whole world. Six-for-six and not a lot of sweat for it either.
$2 Million Bet In Perspective
Nevermind just the long odds. Nevermind just how improbable most the betting picks were. Personally, we’re stunned how quickly and easily all this transpired.
It took two hours from the first leg hitting to the last for this bettor to become $2 million richer. None of these players waited until the eighth or ninth inning to hit bombs either so this bettor never had to sweat out a win. It was quite a coordinated win in successive fashion.
Is Hard Rock Bluffing About This Story?
Alright, we got to put the tinfoil hat on for this one. This story is so crazy that you almost have to second-guess it, don’t you?
We’re taking Hard Rock’s word here, and only them. Obviously, they didn’t name the bettor — nor should they out of safety concerns. But unlike other states, Hard Rock can be secretive about this. Florida sports betting gives them a monopoly on the industry, and very little information has to be publicized because they are tribal owned (this isn’t a state-run system like other states).
It’s obviously in Hard Rock’s best interest for other bettors to believe this story, and more importantly, believe it could happen to them too. The chances of it repeating are near zero, and that would be easy money for Hard Rock Bet if others tried anyway. Like other betting apps, Hard Rock makes its biggest profit margins off parlays because they’re just so hard to hit on a regular basis.
Gun to our head, we say Hard Rock’s story is probably true. But… we wouldn’t rule out it being a fabrication either. In today’s world, you just never really know.
