The Valorant Challengers Ascension 2023: Americas event is a way for one team to secure a spot in the 2024 and 2025 seasons of the VCT Americas League. In addition, the victor will take home the bulk of the events’ $100,000 prize pool. Six teams will participate in the event. The Group Stage begins on June 30, 2023, at the Riot Games Brazil Studio in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The event wraps up on July 9, 2023, at Pavilhao Pacaembu in the same city.
The following VCT Challengers Americas squads are vying for victory in the VCT Ascension Americas 2023 tournament: M80, The Guard, 9z Team, FUSION, The Union, and 00 Nation. The Americas teams come from Canada, America, Argentina, and Brazil.
During the Group Stage, the teams will be split into Group A and Group B. In this stage, the squads play in a round-robin, best-of-three format against the other teams in their group. The top three teams from each group move to the Playoffs, which will be a single-elimination bracket. The quarterfinals and semifinals are best-of-three format. The Grand Finals are best-of-five.

The Guard open the Group Stage against 00 Nation. The majority of the team has been together since 2021, with trent joining in 2022 and tex coming on board in 2023.
The Union
The Union, who play out of Brazil, will find out how ready they are for this event in the opening game. The Brazilian squad opens its Group A journey matched up against the top-seeded M80. The Union are one of the better Brazilian teams, picking up recent wins at Valorant Challengers 2023: Brazil Split 1 and Valorant Challengers 2023: Brazil Split 2.
