The Valorant Challengers Ascension 2023: Pacific event is a stepping stone for one team to the 2024 and 2025 seasons of the VCT Pacific League. In addition, the victor will take home the bulk of the events’s $100,000 prize pool. Ten teams will participate in the event. The Group Stage begins on June 28, 2023, at the Pullman Grande Sukhumvit Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. The event wraps up on July 9, 2023, at Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre in the same city.
The following VCT Challengers Pacific squads are vying for victory in the VCT Ascension Pacific 2023 tournament: Dplus, Bleed, Xerxia, Boom, Naos, Scarz, Orangutan, Bonkers, Fancy United, and ONE Team. The Pacific teams come from Japan, Korea, Oceania, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong, and South Asia.
During the Group Stage, the teams will be split into Alpha and Omega Groups. In this stage, the squads play in a round-robin, best-of-three format against the other teams in their group. The top three teams from each group move to the Playoffs, which will be a single-elimination bracket. The quarterfinals and semifinals are best-of-three format. The Grand Finals are best-of-five.

Dplus
Hailing from Korea, Dplus (previously known as DWG KIA and DAMWON Gaming) have been one of the better clubs playing out of that country for the last several years. So far, in 2023, Dplus has picked up victories at the Valorant Challengers 2023: Korea Split 1 in February and Split 2 in early June. The team fought back from the lower bracket in the February event but won the Group Stage, 6-1, and dominated the upper bracket in the June event.
Dplus will enter this event with confidence after a combined record of 11-3 in the group stages of those events.
Bleed
The roster of Bleed has been playing together as a unit since March 2023. Since then, the squad, which hails from Singapore, has placed first in both the March and June split of the Valorant Challengers 2023: Malaysia and Singapore events. In March, the squad went 6-1 in the group stage. In the June event, Bleed was a perfect 7-0 in the Group stage and only lost one game on its way to winning the Grand Final of that event.
Xerxia
In September, Xerxia finished in 13th-16th place at the Valorant Champions 2022 event. The team shook things up after that disappointing performance. No member of that team is on the current Xerxia roster, which features players who signed on for the team in either January or March of this year. The new Xerxia lineup, placed first in the recent Valorant Challengers 2023: Thailand Spit 2 event, going 4-3 in the group stage before dominating the playoffs.
