The 2023 Belgian Grand Prix takes place this Sunday, with the action coming from the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Stavelot. The circuit is known for its hilly landscape which sees the drivers’ skills pushed to the absolute limit. Max Verstappen won here 12 months ago, and as you will discover in our latest Formula 1 betting picks, he’s favored to win again this year.

Dominant Verstappen hoping to sign off for summer break with another win!

The Red Bull driver’s win in Hungary was his seventh in succession, and he now has 281 championship points. This puts him 110 clear of Sergio Perez, who sits second in the 2023 Driver Championship standings. Perez managed a credible third-place finish in Hungary last weekend, holding off a late charge from Lewis Hamilton.
But the No.2 Red Bull driver couldn’t catch the McLaren of Lando Norris, who finished runner-up to Verstappen for the second week in succession.
The young British driver is now emerging as the new front-runner in the separate race that seems to be going on behind Verstappen. But on 60 championship points, he’s probably too far behind the likes of Perez (171), Alonso (139), and Hamilton (133) in the race to finish second behind the Dutchman.
Betting to win the 2023 Drivers Championship without Max Verstappen
In the betting without Verstappen, Sergio Perez still leads the way with the best F1 betting sites. Perez is -225. His closest rival is Lewis Hamilton at +200.
After looking like he was making it a three-way battle for second position, the threat posed by Fernando Alonso now appears to have subsided. The Aston Martin driver is now out at +1200, with Lando Norris next at +6600.
We still feel it’s worth backing drivers other than Perez in this betting market and are happy to top up our Lewis Hamilton bets at +200.
2023 Belgian Grand Prix Winner Betting
Max Verstappen is the -300 betting favorite to win the 2023 Belgian Grand Prix. The soon-to-be three-times world champion is just on another planet to his fellow drivers at the moment, and it’s simply the case that if he gets around the circuit, he wins the race.
His closest rivals in the betting to win the 2023 Belgian Grand Prix are Sergio Perez, Lewis Hamilton, and Lando Norris. All three are +1200 to upset the odds and finally beat the Dutchman again.
Norris is the new name amongst the betting favorites. His McLaren has performed well in the previous three races, and moving into the second half of the season, McLaren looks like being the main challenger to Red Bull for Grand Prix wins.

Will Max Verstappen make a mistake?
For anybody other than Max Verstappen to win, Verstappen or his team has to make a huge mistake. In a straight race, the Dutchman is going to win.
So this means we can either pick an alternative driver and hope for a mistake from Verstappen, or look at different markets for F1 betting picks.
Our Belgian Grand Prix Betting Picks
On this occasion, we’re looking at different markets, and we believe we’ve spotted a good bet in the head-to-head market.
Last weekend we picked Lando Norris to finish on the podium at +250, which he duly did. This week, unfortunately, Norris is now odds-on to finish inside the top three.
The top three in the betting to stand on the podium are Verstappen (-600), Perez (-150), and Norris (-140). Outside of the top three is Hamilton (+150), George Russell (+275), and Oscar Piastri (+300).
Yes, the McLaren secret is now out of the bag, and the better-value betting prices are no more.

But in the head-to-head markets, you can still get good odds on Norris to finish ahead of fellow Brit Lewis Hamilton.
Norris is -325 to beat his McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri, which is understandable. But against Lewis Hamilton, the Mercedes driver is -140, with Lando Norris at +110. So we’re picking Norris to finish ahead of Hamilton as our first Belgian Grand Prix betting pick.
For our second bet, we’re looking further down the grid. Daniel Ricciardo returned to F1 in Hungary, driving one of the AlphaTauri cars. On his return, he finished 13th, putting him two places ahead of his teammate, Yuki Tsunoda.
This weekend, Ricciardo is -120, to again finish ahead of the young Japanese driver. Ricciardo will be stronger and better this week for his opening drive in Hungary. So we’re picking Daniel Ricciardo to finish ahead of Yuki Tsunoda for our final Belgian Grand Prix betting pick.
