When it comes to the positive movement for Delaware sports betting, people are stilling sitting on pins and needles waiting for a mobile option to arrive. Delaware has had legal sports betting for a while now, but right now, there are no current online options for people to take advantage of. Well, the good news is that Delaware online sports betting could come this winter. This of course would be a major bonus for everyone involved.
According to a report, there was hope that online betting in Delaware would be able to be launched by Thanksgiving. This would have been massive, as you already know that people would have jumped at the opportunity to check out the NFL betting odds for all of the Turkey Day showdowns. However, nothing was able to get finalized and people are still waiting for sportsbooks to get something done for an online version.
Despite Thanksgiving coming and going, people are still hopeful that something can get done. Legislators and lawmakers are currently trying to establish online options for people. We’ve also seen this happen recently in Maryland. With online sports betting being an option across the country, there’s simply no reason for Delaware to not have this go down yet. It’s why people are so confused.
Luckily, it feels like we could have something done within the next month or so. Obviously, the sooner online betting arrives for the citizens of Delaware, the better it will be for the state’s potential revenue. While having legal sports betting is great, people still have to get in their cars and drive to the authorized locations. Countless bets would come in if people could do so from the comfort of their own home.
Delaware was the first state after Nevada to permit single-game sports wagering, but as Maryland prepares to launch online betting, Delawareans will soon be able to go to any neighboring state to place those bets. #NetDE https://t.co/1nIypft2oG

Betting during the football season has been on the rise in Delaware
One important thing to keep in mind for online wagers is that betting during the football season has been on the rise in Delaware. This isn’t a surprise at all, as people are always going to have high interest in not only the NFL, but the NCAAF betting odds too. Unfortunately for Delaware, there was a dip in the betting numbers over the summer months. With MLB action in full swing, people didn’t expect this.
Luckily since September arrived, there’s been a healthy bounce-back for the betting numbers. Why, you ask? Because of football. With the NFL in Delaware, there’s no pro team in the state, but there’s always a ton of interest and intrigue with the NFC East. That’s because other than the Dallas Cowboys, all of the teams aren’t too far from Delaware. You’ve got the New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders.
The Eagles of course are a popular team in Delaware and the fact that they’re playing so well right now has led to a bunch of bets being placed. As of this writing, the Eagles are an unreal 11-1 on the year. Who in the heck saw that coming? Jalen Hurts has been sensational, which has people placing MVP bets on him as well. It feels like it’s going to come down to either Hurt or Mahomes for that honor.
With the Commanders and Giants, they’re both fighting to make it to the postseason. If both teams do, along with the Cowboys, then postseason NFL betting is surely going to be rocking in Delaware. This is something that people will be focused on. If online betting arrives in time – around early mid January – then this is only going to sweeten the deal not only for bettors in Delaware, but lawmakers as well.

When will online sports betting arrive?
Right now, everyone continues to ask themselves, when will online sports betting arrive? That’s really hard to say, as no set date has been locked in. However, the fact that this is something that’s being worked on behind the scenes surely is wonderful news and it’s exciting for bettors to even think about. At the end of the day, there are no excuses for Delaware to not have this as an option.
Right now, literally at this exact moment, if you wanted to place a bet in Delaware, you’d have to go to one of the three legal places to do so: Delaware Park Casino, Dover Downs Hotel & Casino, and the Harrington Raceway & Casino. Outside of those three casinos, any type of betting in Delaware is not considered legal. This has made it tough for people to place their wagers, which is why the thought of online betting is so enticing for countless folks. They want this to happen soon.
Luckily, it really does feel like the wheels are in motion for something to get done. Soon enough, online betting will be on the table for people in Delaware and the betting numbers should skyrocket. This will be big for NBA, MLB fans and more. We can’t wait for an upcoming announcement for a set date. Stay tuned for more updates, as they’re sure to be on the way.
