March Madness betting is one of the biggest and best betting events of the year in New York and 2024 was no different. People loved seeing all the action from start to finish.

This was the second year in a row that the Huskies were able to get the job done. March betting is always going to be quite high thanks to the tournament. While there’s about two more weeks of action on the way this month, there’s no question that the April betting numbers for New York figure to be electric. Not only did we have the NCAA title game between UConn and Purdue, but MLB betting is officially back as well. Both the New York Yankees and New York Mets are in action and fans in the Bronx in particular are loving what they’re seeing out of their club thus far.
The Yankees are in first place in the AL East, putting on a show both on the bump and at the dish thus far. Juan Soto and Aaron Judge have been as good as advertised, with the two hitting some moonshot homers already early on in the season. Another reason betting should be huge this month is because of the NFL Draft, which arrives next week. The first round will take center stage on April 25. In New York, fans are going to be keeping a close eye on the Giants, Jets and Bills. With the Jets, they have plenty of needs, but improving the offensive line and wide receivers room could end up being a top priority for the front office. We can’t wait to see who they go with to help Aaron Rodgers.
Meanwhile for the Giants, they have the No. 6 overall pick, but plenty of people think Joe Schoen might trade up to land a new quarterback to replace Daniel Jones. If that happens, Drake Maye and Jayden Daniels seem like targets, but Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy could be in play too. The Giants could back Jones with either Malik Nabers or Rome Odunze too. We’ll find out next week what the Jets and Giants do, but people will surely be betting big on who they think will be first-round picks for the two.
