New York Sports Betting is Posting Epic June Numbers Thus Far

When it comes to New York sports betting news, things only keep on getting better for the Empire State. Whether it be in-person betting or online activity, we are seeing the Big Apple do some impressive things. With so many outstanding pro teams in the area, it only makes sense that sports fans are putting up so many wagers. And for this month already, New York sports betting is posting epic June numbers thus far.

According to a report, from June 12-18, New York posted a sports betting handle of more than $278 million. This was only for online betting too, which makes things even more interesting. June was always expected to be big for the state, as we are in the heart of the Major League Baseball season. People across New York, especially New York City, have a high interest in both the Yankees and Mets.

Because of this, the MLB betting odds are being checked on a consistent basis. With the Yankees, this team hasn’t quite lived up to expectations this year, as they were considered contenders to win the World Series. Right now, though, it’s a long shot for them to win the AL East, as the Tampa Bay Rays are in the driver’s seat to get things done. The Yankees need to turn things around as soon as possible.

Meanwhile for the Mets, they also haven’t quite lived up to the hype in the NL East, but this team is still ready to try and push for a trip to the postseason. Throughout the summer, plenty of baseball bets will be coming in for both teams. The hope is that both the Yankees and Mets can catch fire. With that said, the high betting handle and revenue are fantastic to see for officials out there. More great stats will be on the way too.

NFL betting is about to take off in New York as well

One thing to remember for the state is that NFL betting is about to take off in New York as well, which will lead to great revenue/handle for NY. There are three teams that fans have a strong interest in, with those three being the New York Jets, New York Giants and Buffalo Bills. All three of these teams are entering the new campaign with massive expectations, especially the Jets.

It was just announced this week that they’ll be featured on HBO’s Hard Knocks. This makes a ton of sense, as the Jets were able to trade for future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers this offseason. With Rodgers now in town, plus other additions in free agency and the NFL Draft, the Jets have strong NFL betting odds to win the AFC East this year. They’re surely going to be a team to watch.

With the Giants, they stunned plenty of people in Brian Daboll’s first year as head coach of the NFC East side. Quarterback Daniel Jones was able to get his career back on track, throwing for 15 touchdowns and adding seven more on the ground. With the additions of Jalin Hyatt, Darren Waller, Bobby Okereke, John Michael Schmitz, Deonte Banks and others, the G-Men are hoping to make noise once again in 2023. They’ve got a great chance of making that happen.

Last but not least, the Bills are a serious threat in the AFC. That’s always going to be the case with Josh Allen as the signal-caller for this offense. There was some worry that star wideout Stefon Diggs would be traded this offseason, but it’s looking like he’s going to stay put. The Bills are hoping to win the Super Bowl this year. With such strong hopes of doing so, this is of course going to result in plenty of bets being placed on them as well. It could be a year to remember for the Bills in 2023.

New York continues to be one of the top betting states in the USA

All of the positive feedback is only made better with the fact that New York continues to be one of the top betting states in the USA. For April and May, New York posted the No. 1 sports betting handle in the country. While other states have posted solid numbers across the board, they haven’t been able to top New York. From the moment betting was launched, everyone knew NY had monster potential – and things have 100 percent been backed up for a while now.

The fact that they’re consistently at the top of the rankings is only making senators and legislators thrilled. Around the year, there’s always high betting interest for people all over New York. In the fall, people love the NFL. In the winter, the NBA and NHL are massive. Then in the spring and summer, people are tuned into MLB, MLS and more. Oh, and college football is also great for bettors. Things aren’t going to be slowing down in New York in the near future. Things continue to be amazing for the state.
