Caesars sportsbook officially opens in Washington state

The major changes for the landscape of Washington sports betting has continued, with some big news arriving at the Muckleshoot Casino in Auburn. Located just south of Seattle, the Muckleshoot Casino has long been a popular destination for bettors. Now, people can now make their way to that location to place their in-person sports bets, as the Caesars sportsbook officially opens in Washington state.

Back when Governor Jay Inslee signed the bill for legal sports betting to go down in March of 2020, more and more sportsbooks and online betting apps have made their way to Washington. On Friday, Feb. 11, Muckleshoot Casino officially opened its door in a partnership[ with Caesars for its sportsbook. The doors opened at 11 a.m. pacific time. From the moment things opened, people flooded to go in and bet.

This of course was huge news leading up to the Super Bowl, as numerous bets were made to try and guess the winner between the Rams and Bengals. Per a local report, the majority of the bets went on the Los Angeles Rams. On top of that, people are already making bets on the Seattle Seahawks too. There’s plenty of wishful thinking, with some bets even coming in on them to win the NFC West title next year.

For people in Washington, the Muckleshoot Casino isn’t the only location to make sports bets in person, as more than 15 locations have been approved by Inslee and the state. However, it’s important to remember here that only retail tribal casinos will be able to operate sportsbooks in their locations, present the different NFL odds, MLB odds and more to fans for them to place their different bets.

Sports fans couldn’t be happier about the new sportsbook at the Muckleshoot Casino

As you probably would have been able to guess, sports fans couldn’t be happier about the new sportsbook at the Muckleshoot Casino opening up on Feb. 11. This indeed is a historic day for the state and the city of Auburn as a whole. For a while now, plenty of people have made their way to the Seattle suburb to visit the casino and place bets. It’s even become a popular destination for out-of-towners.

Now, this new sportsbook will give people even more reason to head south of Seattle to pay this place a visit. With the new sportsbook, King 5 news is reporting that a full, wall-sized LED screen was built and put into place. With this new screen, several different sports games can be shown at once, which of course makes the betting more intriguing. On top of that, nine kiosks are open to place bets at too.

“This is going to be the new form of gaming for the state of Washington,” Muckleshoot Casino Director of Operations Junior Maldonado said via King 5 after the opening of the new sportsbook. “Anybody in the local area in the state of Washington, come place your bets here at Muckleshoot.”

The timing of the sportsbook opening is big for the state too, as some major events are on the way. While the NFL season is now a thing of the past, people are getting ready for Major League Baseball to arrive. Plus, the NBA is in the heart of its season, and things just got even more interesting with the Brooklyn Nets trading James Harden to the 76ers for Ben Simmons. The NBA playoff odds have been shaken up.

Seattle sports are getting bigger and bigger for the local supporters

What’s really helping out sports betting in the Evergreen State right now is that Seattle sports are getting bigger and bigger for the local supporters. It wasn’t too long ago that the Seahawks beat the Broncos in the Super Bowl. The year after that, the team won the NFC and then made it back to the big game, but they unfortunately suffered a heartbreaking, last-second loss to the New England Patriots.

Despite that defeat, the Seahawks have remained a fantastic squad over the years, with more and more bets being placed on them. What’s good for the state now too is that the Seattle Kraken is in its first year. Because of this, you already know that people are going to check out the NHL Stanley Cup betting odds with consistency and then make their way to the Muckleshoot Casino to place a wager.

Lastly, we can’t forget about the Mariners, Sounders or Storm. Those additional professional teams have a huge following not just in Seattle, but all over Washington as well. Whenever these teams are in action, it’d be a great reason for people to head to the Muckleshoot Casino to watch their games and bet.

With the spring right around the corner as well, the winter blues in the Seattle area will be coming to a close and people will be motivated to get out of their homes to take advantage of the improved betting laws. With Caesars and Muckleshoot Casino teaming up here, it could prove to be an incredible partnership that thousands will enjoy this year and beyond.
